Our story

Named after my father

We started planning this café because of what we lived through in the pandemic. My father died in December 2020, and his name — Ángel — had to be the name of the café, to honor him. He was an extraordinary man: resilient, cheerful, open, without fear, and above all he loved good coffee and good conversation. Café con Ángel is, for me, sitting with him again, the way we did over so many cups.

So from the very first day the idea has been the same: a warm, easy place where you come for your coffee, walk in, smell it, and stay a while — to talk, to work, or with a good book — enjoying the here and now.

And like everyone here, we know what Vallarta and the Bay go through to keep going: the high seasons and the low ones, the heat, the water. That's why we've bought from local suppliers since the beginning — people who, like us, want their business to grow and want to sell good things at local prices. Everything you order here carries that.
